Oats Recipe: Honey nut Oatmeal
Oats Recipe: Honey-Nut Oatmeal
Ingredients (1 serving):
1 and 1/2 cups of oatmeal
handful of mixed nuts (chopped almonds or pecans or any nuts)
a couple good squirts of squeeze honey
good pinch of salt
1 banana
soy milk or normal milk
Method:
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
Put grease proof paper on a baking tray.
Combine all the nuts with the honey (make sure they are fully coated. Add the salt and spread on the grease proof paper and bake for up to 15 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool and solidify.
Place oatmeal in a bowl and cover fully with soy milk.
Heat in the microwave until cooked (approx 2 min).
When cooked, chop a banana into very small pieces and stir through the oatmeal. Add the nuts. Drizzle with maple syrup.
